City Lights 200712th Annual Auction Gala April 28th 2006, 6:30 pm to Midnight at the The Auction/Gala Committee for the Flower City Down Syndrome Network has started preparations for the 12th annual Auction/Gala. This will be our first of two fundraisers for this year. The money we raise will be used in many ways that will affect you, your families and friends. It will support the publication of our Newsletter, Welcome to Holland Series, Social events, Scholarships, conference stipends, Cash Reimbursements, Birth Packages, purchasing new books , Telephone Access, Arts Reach Program, Public Awareness events and more..that will support the mission of our organization. Your participation of attending, and /or getting donations is important to the success of this event. This year the event is scheduled for Saturday April 28th, at Ridgemont Country Club, located at 3717 Ridge Road West. This is an Adult only evening, and will begin at 6:30pm. Enclosed are a reservation/invitation form, an itinerary and menu for the evening. The cost for the evening is $30 per person, which includes, entertainment before and during social hour, buffet dinner, raffles, silent and live auctions, Ridgemont staff, decorations, set up and desserts including coffee & tea. There will be a cash bar available for those who are interested. The reservation form and your check made payable to FCDSN should be sent to the address listed on the form and received by April 23rd. We are limited (due to space), therefore it is important that you make your reservations AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Mark your calendars and SAVE THE DATE!!! Although optional, if you would like to donate, or solicit an item/items for the Auction please contact Lori Krause at 225-7654 or Kim Holt at 377-1632. We encourage anyone who would like to donate or solicit to use your personal contacts. If you want to check on what has already been donated or want to take part in helping out with preparing for the Big Event please call Lori as well. Reservation forms and solicitation forms will be available on the Website or by calling Lori. You will need to copy the solicitation form to have one to accompany the item and one to give to the donor. ALL ITEMS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN SUNDAY APRIL 15TH !! NO EXCEPTIONS. Homemade food can be brought to Ridgemont the day of the Auction, but we need to know about the donation by APRIL 15TH I have listed below suggestions of donations that usually go well at the Auction: Drop off location is listed on the form. Weekend getaways for couples or families Golf lessons, outings, and equipment Movie tickets Restaurant or Store Certificates Liquor, Wine Merchandise from any store LAST YEARS EVENT... |
